EVORA is the capital of this region and an important historic stronghold for the country. It is known as the “Museum City”, and holds some of the most incredible sites, such has the Roman Temple, the Bones Chapel decorated with human bones, a rare Statue of a Pregnant Virgin Mary. Making this place a unique UNESCO Heritage Site.

We will also visit the medieval village of MONSARAZ, nearby ALQUEVA, the biggest artificial lake in Europe.

Being in Alentejo, we could not miss a guided visit to the beautiful Ducal Palace of Vila Viçosa, one of the most important noble houses in Portugal. Continuing to Estremoz, we will visit the famous Medieval Castle and also the popular Tile Museum.

During this two-day tour, you will have the opportunity to admire Alentejo´s unique cultural heritage, it's landscape, learn about cork trees and have a visit to a local winery for some wine tasting.
